A small library catalog, in English and Spanish

Ashworth Library is a catalog for a reading room that lends real books. A reader can switch the site between English and Spanish, and between a light page and a dark one, and both choices stay put on the next visit. Search looks through the title, the author, and the keywords. On a book page the cover sits on the left and the record on the right: publisher, year, ISBN, call number, and the rest of what usually goes on a slip. Each keyword is a link to other books that use the same word. Under the cover there is a short form for anyone who wants to ask if a copy is on the shelf. Nobody registers to browse. Only the desk signs in. From that side you add books, add or remove categories, and set the library name, the hours in both languages, the logo, and the icon in the browser tab. A cover heavier than 1 MB is turned away, and the ones that are accepted are reduced before they are stored. Requests show up as a list, with a number for the ones nobody has opened. Click one and the message opens in a window; after that it is no longer counted as new.
